Corbett Corner was developed by The Icon Companies in 2022 after being vacant for more than 25 years. The building is named in dedication to three generations of Syracuse firefighters from the Corbett Family; the late John Corbett, David (retired), and David, Mike and Matt (all still with the department). The building overlooks Firefighter’s Memorial Park.
History
Icon Companies identified 444 East Genesee as a possible redevelopment target in late 2016. The building is 27,000 square feet and 4 stories tall, situated at a very visible corner of Townsend Street and East Genesee Street. It is believed to have sat vacant for the last 20+ years.
